Excavating work in progress in West Alabama
Core Service

Excavating Contractor

Footings, trenching, culvert sets, stump and root removal, and the jobs that just need a machine on site and somebody who knows how to run it.

The jobs that don't have a name

A lot of what we do doesn't fit neatly under a heading. Digging footings for a shop. Trenching a water line to a barn. Pulling a dead stump and its root ball out of a front yard. Cutting in a pad for a shipping container. Digging out a spring that's been seeping into a field.

If it involves a machine and moving dirt, ask. The answer is usually yes, and if it isn't, we'll say who to call.

Call before you dig — every time

Alabama 811 is free and it's the law. Buried power, gas, water, fibre and septic lines don't announce themselves, and hitting one turns a small job into a very large one. Locates get called in before a bucket goes in the ground, on every job, including on your own land.

Excavating across West Alabama

We run excavating out of Berry in Fayette County and cover eight counties from there. Pick yours to see the towns we work in and what the ground is like.

Straight Answers

Excavating — questions we get asked

Can you dig footings?

Yes — to the dimensions and depth the plans call for, squared and to grade so the forming crew isn't fixing our work.

Do you remove stumps?

Yes. Stumps and root balls pulled and hauled, or buried on site if you have somewhere sensible to put them and the county allows it.

Do you call in utility locates?

Always. Alabama 811 gets called before we dig, on every job.
